You know, this journal thing could be fun. I'm not much for journals, really, and my last few entries have been about a sentence long... But I could work on it. Today was the first time I actually planned out in advance what a picture would look like, did some layout... And it turned out being deficient in that respect. *sighs* Oh well. I'll work on that. I might want to consider spending more than three hours on a given picture, working on it in stages to make things more detailed, higher quality... I'll think of something, I guess. There's only so much in art you can plan out.
I use Photoshop, which is the best program for things like this. Anything that has a random noise generator and contrast tools can give you a starfield, though.
How much it costed you? I really want to buy Photoshop so badly. I only have PSP7 and PSP8. I've heard Photoshop have more good techiques and high option tools. The last time I can't find Noise generator in PSP8. ;(

My version of Photoshop was... Erm. Free. *sweat* But it was legal, too. Don't ask me to explain. PSP, I'm sorry to say, is not a decent editing tool. If you're serious about getting into graphics, photoshop is a MUST. Unfortunately, it's about 700 dollars (US).
